A deep, healing state of relaxation.

Discover a sense of balance and holistic wellbeing through the power of reflexology.

EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF touch

The way we live our modern, busy lives can cause us to become imbalanced; emotionally, physically, hormonally and mentally. Through the power of touch, reflexology stimulates specific points on the feet, hands or face that correlate with the rest of the body. This promotes healing in whatever way your body needs it; whether it is calming an overwhelmed mind, alleviating pain, lessening stress, addressing anxiety or helping with sleep. The intent is physical, mental and emotional balance, essential for a true sense of holistic wellbeing.

Hi I’m Ali Clarke, a reflexologist certified by the Association of Reflexologists and distinction qualified alumni of the London School of Reflexology. I believe reflexology is the ultimate non-invasive, supportive experience one human can provide to another. My biggest inspiration is seeing how reflexology can act as the spark for broader lifestyle changes, leading clients to a healthier, happier life.

FAQs

Some of the most common questions we receive are answered here. If there's anything else you'd like to know or if you'd like to discuss our treatments further, feel free to get in touch..

  • Reflexology is a non-invasive therapeutic treatment dating back to the ancient Egyptians and was historically also practiced in India and China. A reflexologist will use gentle pressure techniques on specific reflex points located on the feet, hands, face and cranium, aiming to induce a deep state of relaxation and stimulate the body's natural healing process.

  • There are many, including relaxing both body and mind, unblocking energy pathways, improving circulation, aiding digestion, reducing stress and anxiety, balancing both the physical and emotional body harmoniously, enhancing sleep quality, increasing overall wellbeing and boosting immunity.

  • Reflexology is a complementary therapy, recognised by the NHS, that treats people holistically and can precipitate and support the body's natural healing abilities. A reflexologist will not diagnose or cure, and although treatments can provide relief from various symptoms, it is not a substitute for medical treatment or a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

  • Everyone can benefit from and enjoy reflexology!  It's a complimentary therapy that is generally safe and suitable for people of all ages. Shorter treatments are advisable for the very young and elderly and there are certain contraindications that prohibit treatment which vary depending on which part of your body is being worked on. All initial consultations will entail discussion of any existing medical conditions, injuries, or concerns you may have to ensure a tailored and safe session.

  • A warm welcome, a comfortable chair, a glass of water and a friendly, confidential chat about your lifestyle and medical history. You won’'t be charged any extra if this discussion takes us over the allotted hour and it’s best to allow for additional time when making your first booking.

  • Not at all! There is no need to have a pedicure, shave your legs or be embarrassed about protruding buinions. If you have any skin complaints or foot conditions, let's chat about this ahead of time to put you at ease. There are other parts of your body we can work on if we need an alternative.

  • We can work skilfully with a firm touch on these areas, or we can revert to a different, less sensitive part of your body.

  • We support people undergoing cancer treatment and IVF for example. All initial sessions entail a friendly chat in which we will cover your medical history and lifestyle. If your medical consultant hasn't suggested you choose reflexology to support you through whatever journey you are on (many do), then to consult them first may be advisable for peace of mind. Where you are in the treatment cycle often has a bearing on when we should embark on reflexology and schedule your treatments.

  • The benefits are accumulative, so the more frequently you have reflexology, the more you will feel. For acute conditions such as high anxiety during exams, chronic ailments or recovery after an operation, regular frequent sessions would be advisable, hence our discounted block bookings. After that time, some people like to revert to monthly sessions to maintain wellbeing.
